we live in a society where we can not get dirty or touch any germs at all. Hand sanitizer, hand wipes, and sanitizer lotions are placed everywhere: shopping centers, buggy racks, and even church. What was once meant for hospitals has now made its way out into our everyday lives. as a result, we now have created an over sanitized sick world. We have created superbugs that now antibiotics can no longer take care of without going through 2 or 3 regimens. What ever happened to allow your children to eat dirt, play in dirt, and eat food off the floor? I did it and I survived I grew up happy and healthy! In the church realm, we have become over sanitized not wanting us or our children to be touched by the unclean things of this world. I am a parent myself and I agree we must protect our children. However, eventually we have to allow them to be touched and experience the unclean things of the world so that they may know how to react and make the appropriate choice of Jesus Christ. Remember next time you reach for that squeeze of hand sanitizer that a little bit of germs will not kill you, it will just make your immune system work a little harder to fight off the foreign things introduced to it. The things of the world introduced in your life is just a way for you to choose Jesus and increase your faith and your ability to be in the world but not of the world. -J
